Creative Capital Award - Not Another Deaf Story

Not Another Deaf Story is a groundbreaking multimedia production devised and performed in American Sign Language by an all-Deaf cast. With a generous award from Creative Capital, the original stage production co-directed by Hilari Scarl and MoMo Holt sold out its 2023 developmental run at the Group Rep Theater in Los Angeles and was filmed to bring the project to a wider audience. The feature film directed by Hilari Scarl was nominated for five awards at the SignLight International Film Festival including Best Picture, Best Screenplay and Best Director.  The stage play is under consideration for a world premiere in 2025/2026.
